Inn-Suvarance magik...!!

Off late, I'd been too worried about my assets. I was running head to toe to cover all that i have. In a matter of time, i found that apart from insurance, i needed some clothes too. Good one for a PJ, i should say.

The world of 'J's have something great to insure. Yea, i was referring to the asset that they posses. Jennifer and John have something in common. They're planning to cover insurance for their booty!!! Wow, has anyone else thought about this insurance, not a common man for sure. No wonder, why does common people always remain common.

With the customized insurance plans for BUTT (Salman Butt of PCB is just amused as he is thinking insurance for the single digits on the scoreboard)., many top executives of MNCs have started investigating and researching upon what would be covered under BUTT Insurance. What possibly could go wrong ? and if at all anything at all went wrong, how is it to be made up ? Some found a potential money minting thing with John's pechvada whereas some ladies have already been taking course to be an Investigating Officer to Claims settling officers, ALL WITH A HOPE....!!

Now, All this was a great affair between offices. If nothing goes wrong with his butt and if it were to stop growing or show ageing signs, It wasn't of the company's concern and would have a good amount under their kitty for nothing bad. Yaar.., I never thought of such prospective business plan. No wonder, i am still nothing in the world of marketing... sob sob sob....

If alls not well, There was someone else who had been shown the door to all the Insurance companies that he visits. Yes, Mr. Suresh Kalmadi was given (kaal-addi, which means kicks in mal) and have been shown the door to all the insurance companies that he visits. Due to the networking factor, many companies even had his thumb impression sent across their different branches and have been asked, not to even entertain him in their premises.

Finally, some ABC Insurance, Who weren't been paying salaries to their employees from the past 6 months decided to give it a go. That is, they still feel that CWG would be a great success and they wont have to spend a pie on his insurance. For a change, someone asked Kalmadi, how much would he liked to be insured for ?? Wow, it was a whopping Rs. 550 Crores (Excuse me for the new rupee symbol). Thats not it.... I heard Shiela Dixit has signed an endorsement contract with the same company for the same insured amount. For sure, someone is to benefit out of it.

Now, god knows whats coming up next ? People wants to insure all their assets...., Heard that the pope has brought a new hat..... Any takers for it ???

Whether....

Ever heard Shadows ?? The song Bachelor Boy!! I still remember having learnt in my boarding school days. It was a little reminder to that as i've been increasing on the age side..

Not far behind were those days, I used to check the daily weather on www.weather.com. Being in a sub-continental environment now, I never have to keep a check on weather. We almost know how its going to be. There would not have been any drastic changes anyways. However, off from weather, its Whether now.

On the lighter side, its much about weighing your capacity and capability with some stranger and giving a fair reply to yourself, Whether.... Have really not got much options, So its either YES or NO. Being in the darker gender category, I wasn't supposed to doing an emosanal atya4 to myself. This sex was supposed to be stronger mentally and physically. Thats what you are accessed upon too.

The ones who says, Mard ko dard nahi hota... Think over., Did you see A. Gyaan cry after Ghana losing to Uruguay ? Am sure he wont be crying for publicity, Esp.. When you missed a penalty at the final minutes of extra time. Also, am not reminding which other mard to ask, if there is a real dard that he had.. ;)

A little did my friend know, and he was confused about whats wrong with these guys who shows their three fingers, The Little finger, the pointer finger and the thumb. He was much more a cricket follower than the rock man. He very wagely remembers Greg Chappel showing some gestures to the Indian media after a little spat with dada. For a photograph, where all of them showed the 3 fingers, he just managed one and that too the biggest one. Probably, that was his attitude towards life.

Enough is enough.... Keep visiting this space for more..!!

Luv,
Dhinu!!

Foot - ket..!

I was here..., But just lost track!! As the title reads, if its on my mind, its in here..!! But what happens when your mind is totally empty, You just dont have enough reason to reach this space. Thats just not it. The fights between the Europe and South/Latin America had hit India too.., But it was a silent killer, only killing sleep of the youngsters and Peace of the elders.

Between all these, the city discovered many more new would be football commentators, some expert opinion came by, the controversy of using technology in football which was widely agreed by British and fairly opposed by the Germans. Some expert opinion came by the streets of BTM Layout asking Rooney to "Shoot 1st Time" and Lampard to "Pfhaas" the ball.

Fairly, Paul was the winner always. In short, he overheard some of them going to go off clothes incase their teams won. He was doing his bit to the humanity. A well deserved victory to the stingy Spain whose win was a Pain to the Holes (Holland). Thanks to holland for the kick boxing on the field and also to the refree who had his share of exercises and also creating history for the most number of cards awarded.

The reporter hasn't lost the hangover of football as he has joined many mailing groups on social networking sites like the FB and Orkut. He changed loyality in between the WC from the whites and blue to the Oranje. He was awaken by a legend as he made way out of cricket! Yes, Murali retired today with 800 victims in his kitty. Hope he would still continue playing, if not on the cricket pitches, atleast at the mumbai pitches.. ;)

He was also awakened by the little known fact to all of us that, our neighbours pak's envy and our pride. The Kasab guy, headley and all together doing a post mortem of the 26/11 attack, while few mumbaikar have lost hopes that these culprits would ever be punished.

Back to happenings in personal life... The football fever has left behind the routine of 2am sleep and 9 am alarm followed by snoozes for the next half an hour. As the snoozes are over, a rush to the office to continue where one began at 2 am and hoping for the 9am snooze all over again. While the rain gods have been stingy to Bangalore, he's been more than kind to mumbaikars once again. Hope he cries a bit at Bangalore too.

I'll for sure read the news papers and minds of few and get back to my observing best to dribble something here.. Oops.., did i just write dribble ?? i meant scribble..

First before the next.... Part I

There is always a first one, before the next one. And so it was the last thursday, 1 Apr 2010. I was chatting with a friend of mine and told him, "post may 2, I would be quitting boozing..." He was so entertained by my words and replies back.. "What a resolution to take on an Apr 1st.". I wasn't stunned by his reply, but for sure was giving more way to my stupidity.

Come 12pm, My roomie Mr. BagyaRaj (He was neither lucky, nor he was a king) came hurrying to the kitchen in stint of making semia (vermicelli) upma, packing apples and bread with jam and butter. " Where are we going? " i asked him "Dumbass... Our Cruise to Denmark is at 5pm and the boarding starts at 3.30pm.." Oh Yea.., the cruise.. for the first time. Wish a Titanic to happen on board. If not the crash, atleast the car scenes.... I was interrupted off my dreams with the words yelling " Could you cut those onions for the upma ??" This bloody upmaavu doesn't even let me dream for myself... but Bagyarajan ko koi dosh nahi diya coz, he was cooking for me as well.

Hurrying up., I packed my bag.., It looked nothing big., just a normal office bag, with few clothes and some food and i was off to Oslo port, set for cruising with DFDS seaways to Copenhagen, Denmark. The easiest way to get to the port was by bus, but i always do a little extra, in a hope of shedding my weight. Hence decided to walk a little from the bus station. The fact is, i was trying to save some money (40 Kroners, i.e 40 x 8 INR). I wonder, why the indian in us, always calculates (money x 8) or (x 45 when in sam uncle's land). Whatever, we got there just in time and on the way to ship, we found few norwegians, few Danes (Danish ppl) and few Indians too. I could not bifercate the rest as all of them seemed to be speaking the same language., But could distinguish goltis and tamilians and mallus between Indians. Look at the difference., between indians itself, there was sub distinction, whereas norwegians and danes were simply classified.

1 hour more for the cruise to leave and we had almost settled in our cabin, which looked like a lodge room with many similiar ones beside us.. I did not like the environment as everything near the cabin area was coloured PINK.. and i was sharing the room with a guy.., eeekss. Thankfully, it wasn't a queen or king size single bed to be shared by 2., but individual beds for both. Threw our bags, so that the vermicelli upma is tossed & turned & mixed well.. ;) and left the pinkies physically & out of mind, straight away marched to the common area.

We were on Deck 7 and thats where all the fun would have taken place. Basically, the whole of deck 7 had shopping mall & coffee bar and few apparel shops. It also had a kids play area and the best of all was, there was tom and jerry played for the entire tour, which kept many kids glued to the TV screen. The first time that you are upto something, you wanna finish it at the earliest.., and in that thrill, we went to all happening place in the next 35 mins... Even before half an hour for the ship to leave, we'd almost finished seeing the entire ship. The coffee bar, apparel showroom and few others had opened, but otherwise, the restaurants were just being prepared to recieve the guest.., All that you could do was, reserve your table at the reception for these restaurants.

Tell me, how many times in india have you reserved a table before going for lunch and dinner. Moreover, at Shanti Sagar and Sai Saagar, You've to "Stand N Deliver" and i believe no banglorean would be new to it... Huh., for that matter, no mumbaikar would be new to stand n delivering vada paavs. So, We quit the reservation, thats more likely because of Noks to INR conversion and also coz of the little fact that my collegue was a veggie.

In few minutes, we went to the deck and stood posing in the ship posing infront of Opera House in the background and finally stood in the cold winter to see the ship move and take off the dock! With much difficult, like a fat lady's ass., it moved slowly and took off from Oslo heading towards Denmark. My only ambition now remains to see the place where Kate Winslet was thinking of jumping from the cruise and i, Dinesh, (read Di Caprio) trying to bid her a good bye... ;). I found it and now was in search of the car deck, but wasn't allowed entry as the ship had already moved.. :'( (dhust, paapi...., scene bante bante reh gaya yaar... )

After all these, posed infront of all important part of the ship.., and then came to a fact file, which read the specification of the ship, with the max no of people allowed onboard to the engine make and made and the speed that it travelled.., It was moving at 21 Knots for almost 17 hours. The calculative me got to analysis and discovered that i was on a slow pace and cruising for 642 kms in 17 hours, where as i would have reached Thrissur from Bangalore in 10 hours....

As the day light started fading, the cruise started getting brighter., The Columbus live band had opened and for the first time, live band seemed so unlively with norwegian and danish nos.. The discos had kids playing initially and Heavens 11 disco seemed like Rakhi sawant wearing a Salwar Kameez. :'(. I was waiting for gods to restore his blessings upon me with something extra ordinary.... but he's forgotten the people in sea, Why would he remember me also? it was a monty thursday and was busy attending to people, who on the shore were yelling to listen to them. I forgive him for today.

By 10.30pm, i went back to my cabin and like a good boy, went to sleep and set the alarm on the radio phone to wake me up 2 hours before arrival. Just a little into the sleep, i was woken up my a little noise.., I thought the big waves must have hit the ship and hence the noise.., but it was my roomie rubbing his leg together. No bad thoughts.., his rubbing of legs had also been a disturbance when we were on the shore.! He snores n rubbs his legs in sleep. The little jerks in the ship used to wake me up in between and each time, i used to think that the Titanic scene has finally taken place... The crash of course ;)

Shoot..., I typed so much.... and you read so much..., Take a break and come back to read Part II.

First before the next.... PART 2

Each time, I woke up, I felt like going to Havens 11, But was just lazy to dress up in the night and walk up to the 9th Dec for only a glimpse of Heavens 11. As it always was, Dhinu had 2 straight legs, (Dhinu can't dance saala). The best thing about walking in those area was the smell the STEAKHOUSE EXPLORER produced. If not the taste of steak, the view and smell was killer ones. There was a restaurant beside steak house and called 7 Seas. The only 2 times that i hated fish was at Hogenekkal and now at 7 Seas. The smell.., oops stink of 7 Seas was really terrible.

Was somehow managing to sleep between the jerks that the cruise had in between when something unusual happend. There were cries from the room next door., was pacified when i got to know that there were cries, but the emergency alarm had not gone off... The fact is., The malls at the ship sold liquor at almost 1/4th the price and most of them who travel by these cruise only come to booze to glory. The howling that i heard was proptional to the selling that the cruise mall had made.. :)

Knowingly or Unknowingly, the ship had managed to sail through the ocean and as instructed, before 2 hours the cruise's alarm system woke us up and no sooner than later, we got ready, had breakfast and made way to the deck to see some morning scenary that copenhagen had to provide.. I had mythically fell in love with the place where Kate Winslet tried to jump off the ship the previous night of the crash. I went there to see that i was surrounded by water all 4 sides. Water Water everywhere, not a drop to drink. All that i could see behind me was, another bunker ship following the same path that we followed. I did not understand the engineering mind behind it., but for sure, there was some logic to it :-).

Copenhagen came, the lady took time to park her fat ass into the dock., We all got down and into the shore. Now, this moron is really adventerous, I'd not planned about what to see at Denmark, that is because, we would have reached there on good friday and not sure what would be open and closed on a good friday in a christian dominated country. Thought of seeking local help and deciding things upon reaching there. As soon as i got out of the ship, I bumped into an indian, giving a half smile... Why wudn't he ? we had the same color tone., This guy was from Pune and had about another 6 of them gearing up for a trip. He, for a formality have asked me if we wanted to join them. Even before he ending his invitation, I'd already accepted it..., YES, Why not ?

We got to the city hall square and when they went for quick bite, i took time to gather what site seeing tickets they were carrying and decided to purchase the same one over the counter on the shores of Copenhagen. In a bit, we were on the roof top of a bus and we'd a guide in the form of a 60-70 yrs old man. By the way he started explaining things, we for sure felt that he was a vetran from a war. The sight seeing at one point looked an encyclopedia tour. He spoke about various creations of King Christian the IV and his kaale kaarnama and also about how romantic he was to have a wife and 2 maid servants and have kids with them... :-)

We were shown how the guards change duty and the way they are taught to be stood still inspite of any reaction from the local public who came to see them. For a moment, i felt pity for them, How long can one try to provoke you and you stand still ?? However, during the guard duty change, there was a ritual of checking the jacket of the soldiers. They were checking if they've hidden an gal inside their coat, which would have kept them warm the previous night. I think some people love to remain old.., isn't it ? We seen a lot of copenhagen, but it was first sight seeing trip for me and hence, i never liked the way it was.. I love to be there, right in the centre than someone telling me the history and encyclopedia behind it.

The tour was over within 4 hours of the alloted 6 hours on the shores of Denmark... The lesson learnt is.., Never come to Denmark thinking that you'll earn enough to take back home. The reason being so simple., The government charges around 52% tax excluding the church tax. Also, If you wanna purchase a vechile there., the tax for the vechile is 200%, so its as good as paying for 3 vechiles and having only 1 at home. With a tired body, half filled heart and a lousy evening ahead, we drove and then walked back to DFDS seaways...., pleading and praying to be reaching Oslo a little earlier than before.

If you want to know what did i do on return in the cruise.., You'll hv to scroll up and read the same with less excitement. On the way back home, We'd been to a punjabi dhaba, where i and my collegue and the waiter cum cook was only present. There was no crowd on a holy saturday., which looked more like a day before easter even otherwise. On the way back, I met a conductor who may have been working with BMTC, Bangalore. How did i guess ? He gave me an old used ticket for 30 Kroners and an additional 10 Kroners ticket, which makes it 40 Kroners. He put the 30 Kroners in his pockets silently. Isn't that what our bangalore conductors do too ??

Alls well that ends well... Isn't it ? so what was special when i came back ? I made way to the Ship Mall, brought a Smirnoff, which was almost 4 times cheap the price of what it was on the shore. Also brought some beer! April quota had been purchased from the ship, thats because Post May 2, I was quitting boosing..... God bless me with the resolution that i took on April 1.

Till Smirnoff bids a byee to me.,.

Impossible is 0(Nothing)

A Saying goes in malayalam which means out to be, Incase you hit a little on beauty, you start carrying ur umbrella even in the mid-night. For sure, when this saying was made, people had no access to a place like Norway, for sure!!

Last evening, We'd been having a photo session over an ICY lake, and ya, it was hard ice on the top layer of the lake and it was 8 pm before the sunset. Those in the northern part of Norway, doesn't have sunsets at all during the summer. Last few days have argueably been happy days of my life!

I'm at this part, considered too abnormal, rather too bad to be an Indian and too good to be a Norwegian. Thats also probably because of the contrast that i have with my collegue here. Most people who visited this specific client were pure vegeterian (For few, eggs are vegetable too). People here were just amazed to see an Indian eating Beef, Ham and shrimp, rather than the daily comers, who stick to salad and depend on the rabbits food for survival and crib each day about the food, yet gets the daily lunch bill to 150 Noks (150 x Rs. 8) approx.

Further more, the guy is too terrible to be an Indian who often has a strike and spare when out on a bowling!! This was probably not expected off an Indian after 2 pint of beer!! My collegue had was accompanied by a norwegian person when went to pick up the drink and he stated, Pepsi isn't his choice. Good that people get to know me much before they actually can. After all the action, it was the eating time. I had a little Indian left in me, hence decided never to have a half boiled or a raw red meat.....

But as the title reads.., Impossible is nothing, My manager lured me to have SMOKED HAM (note: They were only smoked, not cooked), with salads and soya sauce, but it something close to a Tatar (http://www.somethingawful.com/d/comedy-goldmine/horrors-of-food.php?page=4). If that gives any clue about it.

Enough of all the Norway, Back to where i belong. I'm quitting my job as soon as i reach there and heading straight for Kochi!! Indian Paisa League strikes kochi too, and by the way, There are going to be surprises after shreeshanth would be ELECTED as the captain of the team.

S T R I K E soon to follow in the IPL....

Till the days of Norway gets over.,

Lots of Luv,
D!

The sand and the snow..!!

Off late, i heard a friend of mine, settled at dubai talking about the snow fall there.. Wow., that happend in Egypt too.. How does it matter to me, I am a part of Bangalore, which has never seen and hopefully will never see the snow fall.

I changed loyalties! And the new one to whom i should be loyal to, asked me to move on to a snow filled area., where there is less sun, more snow and ice!!! The only place where i was shouting for ice was at the waiter, waiting at bhagini for the drink that used to please my friday!.., Between the fri (es), it was ICE and a bit HOTs too.. mixed emotions.

So... am here, a little far away from my home! There is nothing Indian about the place that i stay, but a lot Paki, Sri Lanka and a little bit of iran and afghanistan too. I wonder, why do people cross over borders ?? I was really amazed, not to find a single mallu so far.... thats how they say, that there has to be a mallu wherever you go!!... Probably, i take help of the mirror myself. I'll atleast find one!!

The temperature has been treating me negatively, oh yes, negative to the core, sometimes even to the double digits.. :), But precisely towards the end of winter and beginning of summer., It hasn't gone to the upper digits.. Whats it like to be over here ? absolute crap., thats coz, back there at home, there's something called as IPL 3 gone "ON AIR". With you tube delaying video by 5 mins, I dont really feel the pinch, which is far far better than calling or emaling a friend of yours back home to know if your team (MI it is) to have faired well ??

Between, the kroner and the noks (the currency system here)., I'd also been asked to walk! Oh yea, the post AB effect.., Walk when you talk, Walk N talk, talk n Walk.... but here., its silence.. There is a company to walk, but tedious, or probably that extra workout..! Walking in the snow is a little more difficult than walking in the plain roads of bangalore/mumbai. As per my memory goes, it was the same effect when walking in the sand..! It was at the tedious best.., so what do i learn out of here ? Snow or Sand, the effect are both the same.!! Yeh, Saala hamesha beech waale hi faste hai..!

Signing off for now...! with a lot of Norwegian song in my next blog..!!

Lost of Luv, (jaane kaha gayi woh).,
D!!

Shudd up & Walk...

The time ticking 5.06am on my computer's right hand corner that gives me enough reason to sleep, but here i am doing something, that i shouldn't be doing. I'm gone Insomniac.

My basic problem is that i dont have a problem, but then why with the sleep thing ? I guess i am working too hard and my mind is full of WORK (hope my manager comes across my blog). I had also been thinking (from past many weeks, which adds upto months and year maybe) that i have to start exercising, so that i am fit enough to have a good baby sleep.

I took this as a challenge really and made sure that i give a start to it. Last sunday, turned out to be the show starter and it ended there itself. I'd a brisk walking for almost 6kms. Not a bad one to begin with. But there were a lot of things that kept me going for the next round at the park where i went for this walk. Oh yea, guessed it right, some bhavras and few flowers!!! The observant me, didn't really have much time to gasp....

First things first, why do people round the park as if they're in the temple ? i am always fond of rounding right to the left, which is precisely opposite of what people walking from left to right! If so the case, I guess, they even gotta remove their footwears.. Kids.., Awesome! for the first few minutes only, later the parents are annoyed with what they see. The kids dont give them enough space, for those who say, its not true... Wake Up! have one of your own.

Those flowers and bhavraas (bee).... love to see you like this, But u see.., am alone and am on a walk mission., All i could satisfy myself was by saying, See his brotherly love for his sister., Wow! Gives me a break ;) . The mystery becomes terrible when you see a change in skin tones, Like a Chinki Flower with a Kannadiga Bee, Seems like the guy loves his step sister as much as his own sister.

I wonder, what does the newly wed couple have so much to speak in the park for the talking that they do prior wedding over the phone, post wedding in the bedroom and for some even talking that the neighbours hear. Yet, the whole lot comes on a sunday eve to spend their so called useless evening to be asking each other... "So... What do u think ?" Dude, Whatever i think, do i have a choice ???

Whats up with the little vendors who walk along on the park? The most amazing thing that they need to be taught is BASICS OF MARKETING, if thats only a subject. I am not making it complicated, but then, would you mind change on purchasing anything that they sell by each extra round that you take ? And especially when its not water ? Enough is enough, what crime has your readers done to be tortured by your walk stories ? Just Shudd up & Walk !

Titleless...

Hmm... amazing title, isn't it ? why is it so ? that's because, i don't have anything on mind. If at all there is something in my mind, its all about nothing. I believe this is just another silent phase of life, where i eat less, play less, work less and most of all, even sleep less.

I wonder, when everything in life is so less, why are the phone bills running NOT LESS. Huh.., I need to find a reply to this! Deep within me, i have a feeling of not being very me! does human change along with time ? Yo, why not ? But isn't it time that forces us to change ? These days, I'd been doing nothing great than keeping update with movies, The best of all, i seen the flower show at Lalbaug for the first time after being in Bangalore for the last 5 yrs. Had a pretty tough time for the flower., but it was nice being between flowers, where, although everything was natural, nothing seemed like one.

The other thing that's going around is with the Russel Peter's comedy show. I had been impressed or depressed with him that i had been going around repeating his dialogues all throughout and recommending the video to my friends, who in turn started repeating his dialogues too. Cheez! that's too much unwanted attention for this racist pig, who feels there is nothing Indian about him.

Huh, Speak about racist, who isn't. It just comes in different form, hot, small, cold, dark, tall, shallow, big.... (name it and here it is...). Its the level that matters all, The one at the international level can speak of the skin colours, where as at the lower level, we can very well compare about anything that we see. In between this, i dont wish to forget to say a hello to our Bal Tackrey saab. Basically, you are the king of it. Luckily, that i know marathi, i can survive to be a cabbie at Mumbai. Thanks.

Even, with nothing on mind, i managed to write 3-4 paragraph about something that i feel., Just to give justice to the title called "Titleless" that i used here., I should have remained dumb.

Love you for keeping up with this.,
